Brief History:

Ulu Mosque is the oldest and most important mosque in the city of Muğla, located in the Marmara Region of south-western Turkey. It is believed to have been built in 1295 by the Seljuk Sultan Kaykaus II. The mosque has an ambulatory plan with seven sections. The mihrab is decorated with an inscription showing the date of construction and the inscription of the prayer of Allah. The mosque also features a minaret, a dome, a sahn, and a courtyard. It is an important holy site in Muğla and is visited by worshippers from across the region. It is one of the most famous mosque in Turkey which you must visit.

Visiting Hours:

The Ulu Mosque (Muğla) is open to visitors seven days a week, all year round. Operating hours are from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
