The Temple of Thiru Kolanjiappar at Thirukazhukundram is a Vaishnavite temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu as Lord Venkatachalapati. The temple follows the Pancharatra Agama mode of worship. It is believed that this mode of worship was originally given to Kubera, the lord of wealth, by sage Vishwamitra. The daily rituals of the temple include four daily pujas (Abishekam, Aradhanam, Ushapuja and Sayanapuja) and utsava pujas, which take place in the evenings.
