The Varadaraja Perumal Temple in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu follows the traditions established by the Vaikhanasa Agama Shastra. Special pujas such as the Thiruvilakku Pooja, Thiruvaradhanam, Sahasrabhishekam and Abhishekam are offered to the presiding deity, Sri Varadarajar. Special rituals are also performed on Ekadasi (eleventh day of the lunar cycle) such as paying obeisance to 108 Saligrama Shilas of the Devasthanam, chanting of the Divya Prabandham (4000 Tamil hymns) and Pancharatra Agama idols of Varadaraja Perumal and his consort, Goddess Vanamangai Thayar. Daily puja or Archana to Varadaraja Perumal is done 5 times a day in two sittings, and is known as 'Tirumanjanam'.
