Kalavathurai Ganan Vyravar Temple is located near the Araly South village in Valikamam West, Sri Lanka. The main deity of the temple is Lord Ganesha, also known as Ganan Vyravar or Ekadanta. Devotees from around the village and many other parts of Sri Lanka come to the temple to seek blessings from Lord Ganesha. The primary method of worship in the temple is bhakti. Devotees offer milk, water, flowers, fruits, and incense to the deity during puja. Hymns and prayers are chanted in praise of Lord Ganesha. Offerings are then made and prasad is distributed amongst the devotees. In addition to the bhakti worship method, devotees also perform Homam (yagna) during auspicious occasions like New Year and Pongal celebration. This helps to purify the atmosphere surrounding the temple, and it is believed that the divine energies of Lord Ganesha also enter the temple through the Homam.
