Muckhart Parish Church has been a centre of worship in the Ochil Hills since 1160. The present building dates to 1783 and several restorations have been made since then. The original Norman building had an apsidal chancel, which was replaced by a new chancel and sacristy in 1783. The chancel contains several notable features, most prominently a three-manual organ installed in 1852.
