History:

The Glasgow Reform Presbyterian Church was established by members from several other Reformed Presbyterian congregations as a result of the Disruption of 1843. These included congregations from Anderston, Rutherglen, Ballochney and Edinburgh. The church was originally located in Anderston in the city centre and its first minister was the Rev. Benjamin Wheeler, who came from Rutherglen. The Glasgow Church moved in 1866 to its current location in Highburgh Road, off Byres Road in the West End of Glasgow. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Scotland.
