Kilmallie Free Church of Scotland In Scotland: History,Facts, & Services

, Kilmallie Free Church of Scotland In Scotland is a Christian church that was established in 1890 as a breakaway from the established Church of Scotland. It is a member of the 'Continuing' Free Church of Scotland. The Free Church of Scotland split from the established Church in 1843 in a dispute over lay patronage. The Kilmallie congregation was one of the first to break away from the Free Church in 1890 due to an ongoing disagreement on the spiritual implications of the 'Declaration of 1890' which allowed a minister to be appointed by what was perceived to be a 'popular vote'. The church continues to offer spiritual guidance and worship, as well as community outreach programmes in partnership with other local churches and charities.
