Greenock Free Church of Scotland In Scotland: History,Facts, & Services

Greenock Free Church of Scotland In Scotland is a Presbyterian denomination of the Reformed faith and was established in 1843 when the groups of evangelicals in the area, who had formerly belonged to the Church of Scotland, left to join the new denomination. The Church adheres to the sovereignty of the Bible as God’s Word, the need for personal salvation, faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and believer’s baptism. Today, Greenock Free Church continues to serve through its five congregations, where members meet for worship, prayer, bible study, social activities, outreach and mission. They offer a range of services from Sunday memberships to family worship, children’s and youth activities, pastoral care, and counseling. They also have youth camps, retreats, evangelistic outreaches, and missions to other countries.
