Ardgour Parish Church : Church of Scotland in Scotland History
Ardgour Parish Church was founded in 1711 in the village of Ardgour in the Argyll and Bute area of Scotland. The original building was built from local materials in a traditional style and was completed in 1712. The church was extended in 1795 and then again in 1837.
A small cemetery was formed in 1802 and used until the 1970s. The church was closed for regular worship in 2005 and is now used mainly for special services. The church also provides a venue for the local community to come together and hold meetings.
