Architecture:

The Masjid al-Mahabbah is one of the three holiest mosques in Saudi Arabia. It was built in 600 AH (1203–4 AD) by the former ruler of the area, Khuzaimah bin Duwad II. The mosque is characterized by its grand Arab-Islamic architecture, its spaciousness and its central location in the Holy City of Mecca. The mosque is surrounded by a wall and entrance is from a grand gate along the north side of the mosque, which is made of marble and inlaid with red sandstone.
