It is the fourth-largest mosque in the world and is capable of accommodating up to 40,000 worshippers. The building is made from simple and traditional Islamic building materials such as marble, stone, and wood. Inside the prayer hall features elements of classic Islamic design including a mihrab and a huge chandelier. Other features include a large courtyard, a library, a sahn (courtyard pool), and a minbar (pulpit) where the imam delivers his sermons.
