The mosque was designed in 2008 by Saudi architect Sultan al-Sultan and is composed of two giant wings that rise up to 30 meters in height and have five levels of prayer halls. The prayer halls are connected to the main areas of the mosque via an air-conditioned passageway. Each level of the mosque is designed with Persian and Islamic features, such as colorful carpets, elegant arches and domes, and intricate Islamic calligraphy. The columns around the mosque are decorated with Islamic calligraphy and motifs, and are connected to each other with an elaborate illuminated dome. The entire building is clad in white marble, to reflect the Islamic concepts of purity and divinity. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
Visiting Hours:
