Wat Wang Sai Phun features everything from ancient Lanna-style temples, to an elaborate and ornate shrine containing Buddha figurines. It is an important religious site for the local community and is the center of a popular annual pilgrimage in November.

The temple dates back to the late Ayutthaya period (1350-1767) and has since been renovated by various Thai rulers. An open-air theater is located in the temple grounds, as well as a museum, a gallery, and a chedi with a 12-foot-tall Buddha statue.
History:
Wat Wang Sai Phun is one of the oldest temples in Thailand and one of the most important religious sites in the Suphan Buri Province, where it has been used continuously for over 500 years. The temple is said to be haunted by the ghost of an ancient prince who was refused admission by the temple’s resident monks.
