Wat Phumin

Wat Phumin is a famous Buddhist temple located in the city of Nan, in north Thailand. Known for its unique architecture and intricate murals, this Thai temple depicts the life of local people and folklore.

Built in the late 16th century, Wat Phumin is a small buddhist temple in thailand that features a distinctive four-sided ubosot (ordination hall) with four entrances, each with a porch decorated with intricate wood carvings. The interior murals, which were painted at the beginning of the 20th century, are the most famous part of the temple. They show scenes from Buddhist teachings as well as local legends and customs.

Vivid colors of the murals are enough to grab the attention of the visitors. They can spend hours admiring them. One of the most famous murals is the "Whispering Lovers" scene, which depicts a couple whispering to each other in a way that makes it seem as though they are speaking directly to the viewer.

In addition to the murals, Wat Phumin also has a small museum with displays of local artifacts and traditional Thai clothing. The temple is considered a must-see attraction for visitors to Nan, and it has been recognized as a national treasure by the Thai government.
