Worship Method:
The Radha Raman Temple in Salalah is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. The temple follows the vedic tradition of Hinduism and uses the Shri Krishna sanctorum or alter of Krishna in its worship. The worship at the temple starts with the Mangal Aarti, a hymn usually sung just prior to the opening of the shrine or to start a religious ceremony. During the Aarti, devotees present offerings of flowers or garlands to the deity. The Aarti is followed by chanting of some mantras, stuti and shlokas in reverence of the deity. After the morning Aarti a puja is usually performed. The puja includes worship of the idol or deity and offering of blessing by pouring milk, ghee and honey. Offerings of incense, lamps, flowers, fruits and Camphor are also presented. The puja is followed by the prasad distribution and the devotional songs or bhajans. During the noon puja aarti and arati prasadam of Lord Krishna is offered. The day worship ends with offering of evening flowers and sandalwood paste. Abhisheka is also performed in the night. Aarti is performed at the end of the ceremony. The temple follows the traditional aarati timing of 4 pm and 8 pm daily.
