History:

The Oman Pentecostal Assembly was founded in 2010 in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, with its first church service held on May 16th that same year. The founding members were Rev. Sunny George, Rev. Salu K. Abraham, Rev. Newton George, Rev. Byju Sabu, Rev. Blessing Pathan, Rev. Dhareed Abraham, Rev. Nandakumar, Rev. Jeo J. Thomas and Rev. Ranjeev V. Abraham. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Oman.

The Oman Pentecostal Assembly is the first evangelical Pentecostal movement in Oman, and is growing rapidly, with over 2000 members throughout the country. The OPA is the first Pentecostal church in Oman to be officially recognized by the Government of Oman. The OPA is a member of the Pentecostal World Fellowship (PWF) and the Lausanne Covenant for Global Evangelization.
