Brief History:
Musannah Mosque is located in Musannah, a town in the Muscat Governorate of Oman. The mosque was constructed in the year 1387 AD by Sultan Sulayman bin Lahej, the founder of the Lahej dynasty. The mosque was initially constructed as a Friday Mosque (the main mosque of the town) but is now used as a Friday Mosque and a Sufi shrine. The mosque was built using traditional Omani materials and techniques and features an open courtyard with high walls and a prayer hall. The mosque is also home to a variety of Islamic inscriptions and artifacts. The mosque's architecture and decorations represent the mixed influence of local, Arab and Persian culture, blending together a variety of architectural styles. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.

The Musannah Mosque in Musannah, Oman, is a traditional Omani style mosque. It is a two-story building with a central courtyard. The first floor is made up of a central prayer hall, which is surrounded by four smaller side domes. The second floor includes a gallery, which is accessible via a load-bearing stairwell. Outside the courtyard, two minarets frame the building. The mosque is constructed primarily of stones and coral blocks, and features a variety of traditional Omani architectural elements. These include colorful mosaic tiles, carved patterns, Islamic calligraphy, and ornately decorated mihrabs that indicate the direction of prayer. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
