Al Wafi Mosque is a mosque located in Muscat, the capital of Oman. The mosque was built in 2010 and is one of the largest mosques in Oman. It is situated at the top of an artificial hill in Bawshar, and can hold up to 10,000 worshippers at once. It is an impressive building of pure white marble with two tall minarets, five dome structures and four pillars. Address: Near Saham, Oman The Al Wafi Mosque is located near the city of Saham in the East of the Sultanate of Oman. The mosque is a landmark of the City of Saham and is one of the most important religious spots in the city. Due to its impressive grandeur, it attracts a lot of visitors from different parts of the world. To reach the Al Wafi Mosque, visitors can take a taxi from the city center. There are also regular buses and minibuses that make regular trips to the mosque. The journey takes about 15 minutes from the city center. The Al Wafi Mosque is open for visits from Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Admission is free and the mosque is open for non-Muslim visitors as well.
