The Al Suwayh North West Central Mosque is an early modern mosque in Muttrah, Oman. It has a simple, geometric design that creates an inviting and visually pleasing atmosphere. Built on what used to be a beach in the 19th century, the mosque takes advantage of natural light through large windows while still maintaining privacy and cultural respect. The mosque is built on a two-story, five-pointed star plan, with the main prayer hall is located in the center and five surrounding courtyards. The exterior of the mosque is characterized by white marble and blue tinted windows, with the main entrance decorated with intricately carved geometric motifs. The interior is bright and airy, with marble accents and a large central dome that rises above the surrounding courtyard walls. The floors are tiled and the walls are adorned with intricate patterns.
