Brief History:
Al Rumaylah North Mosque is located in the Northern Governorate of Al-Batinah, in the Sultanate of Oman. It is a white mosque with two minarets and was built in 2018. It was funded by the government of Oman and is the largest mosque in the country with a capacity of 3000 people. The mosque has pre-modern Islamic architecture, with the main prayer hall featuring a distinctive four-domed structure. There are two courtyards outside the main chamber, with additional prayer spaces. The mosque is also home to many Islamic events and lectures, and serves as a place of worship for its local community. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.
Architecture:
The Al Rumaylah North Mosque is located in Muscat, Oman and dates back to the 13th century. It is an example of the iconic Omani architecture that is found throughout the country, characterized by its traditional features such as its courtyards, oriel windows, and domed structures. The mosque has a rectangular plan with four entrance iwans leading to a central courtyard surrounded by a four-bay portico. The mosque's two minarets flank the main building entrance, while at the center of the portico is the mihrab. The interior is decorated with decorated faience tiles and wooden carvings, as well as traditional chandeliers. It also has a number of ancillary structures such as a library, an exhibition hall, and a prayer hall. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

By Road: The mosque can be reached by taking the Al Karama Road to Al Maabayah, then to Al Wadi, then take the Al Iman Road to Al Athaiba and turn left towards Al Rumaylah North Mosque. By Air: The closest airport to Al Rumaylah North Mosque is the Muscat International Airport, located approximately 10km away from the mosque. By Train: There are no trains available to Al Rumaylah North Mosque. By Bus: There is no direct bus services to the Al Rumaylah North Mosque but buses going to Wadi Al Boom and Al Iman can be taken to reach the mosque. beautiful masjid.
