The center of the mosque houses a large lantern which is used for functional and aesthetic reasons. The walls are divided into multiple small spaces by large openings that are surrounded by intricately designed metal arches. The prayer hall is surrounded by four large columns which support the main dome of the mosque. A smaller dome is located on top of the minaret.
