: Al Rawdah South East Mosque in Oman is located in Ghawarna, Muscat Governorate. It is an ancient religious site that dates back to the 15th century. The mosque is known for its grand architecture and spacious gardens that are beautifully landscaped. The mosque’s ancient walls have stonework carved from stones of different colors that bear the name of Allah, His Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the four Caliphs who succeeded him. The mosque is a favourite place of worship for the Sunni population of Ghawarna and surrounding areas. Architecture:

The Al Rawdah South East Mosque located in Oman consists of a spacious yard located in front of the main mosque building, as well as two large side halls and a dome. The main building has a large and impressive dome, surrounded by eight archways. The main prayer hall consists of a carpeted floor, while wall space is decorated with intricate calligraphy. Side halls are connected to the prayer hall and open into the courtyard. The mosque is located on a high ground platform, supported by four colossal porticos that stand towards the eastern sides. The interior of the mosque is decorated with magnificent tiles, with alternating tones in a square pattern. The ceiling is made of wooden beams and tiles, wrapped with traditional thick Arabian carpets. Little ornamentation can be seen within the interior, mostly made up of rich Islamic calligraphy, Qur’anic verses, and floral designs. Natural ventilation is provided by double walls, and large windows around the mosque opening to the courtyard. The mosque also has two minarets, one of which is located at the main entrance to the mosque. They are rather tall and covered with small window openings. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

Location: Al Rawdah South East Mosque is located in Muscat, Oman on the Shatti Al Qurum Street. Directions: From Muscat International Airport: Head southeast. At the roundabout, take the second exit. Continue straight. Turn left onto Sultan Qaboos Highway. Take the first exit onto Al Mouj St/Al Qurum East. Turn right onto Shatti Al Qurum Street/Qurum St. Continue onto Qurum St/Shat Al Qurm St. The mosque will be on the left. Public Transportation: There is bus service available near the mosque. Bus No. 40, 50, 92, and 92A can be taken from Ruwi and Mina Qaboos Bus Terminals to get to Shatti Al-Qurum Street. beautiful masjid.
