Al Qabil South Central Mosque in Oman is the second largest mosque in the country. Its foundation was laid by Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said in 2010. The mosque was completed in 2014 and its total area is 14,800 m2. It has two minarets and a dome. It is dedicated to the teachings of Qur’an and Sunnah. The mosque has a massive main hall which can accommodate 1,870 people at once. The prayer area has four sections – two for men and two for women. It also has several other facilities, including a library, a lecture theater, a seminar hall, a nursery, and a wedding room. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.
