Al Ma'awil North Mosque is a mosque located in Al Ma'awil, Oman. This mosque was established in 1876 by Sultan Azzan bin Khalil Al Busaidi. It is a three-story building made up of wood, mud, and clay. Located in a picturesque mountain village, the mosque features a large 45 meter main prayer hall along with 3 terraces and several balconies. The mosque has a minaret as well. The architecture of Al Ma'awil North Mosque in Oman is an example of traditional Islamic architecture. It is a grand and imposing mosque located in the village of Sur in the Al-Dakhiliyah region in the Sultanate of Oman. The mosque dates back to the late 18th century and is a rectangular structure built of volcanic stone. The exterior of the mosque is decorated with geometric and floral designs and there is one large and one small balcony at the facade. The interior of the mosque consists of an entrance, two mihrabs and a qibla wall. The mosque is topped with four small domes decorated with floral designs. Al Ma'awil North Mosque is open for worshipers from Fajr until Maghrib. It is also open for visitors during official operating hours from 9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. and 4:30p.m. to 8:00p.m. from Sunday to Thursday.
