Brief History:
Al Kamil West Mosque is located in the Ruwi district of Muscat, Oman. It was built in the summer of 2011 and is an important place of worship for the people of Muscat. The Mosque was built by Royal Order of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Al Said and is among the most beautiful Masjids in the region. The mosque has a capacity of accommodating 1200 people at once. The main attraction of the mosque is its huge dome which is made of pure white marble. Al Kamil West Mosque also features a special golden minaret, a grand courtyard, and a huge ablution area. People from all across the country come to visit the holy place during the Eid celebrations and the Ramadan month. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.
Architecture:
The Al Kamil West Mosque stands in alrasmiyah, Oman, and is considered one of the most beautiful mosques in the country. It was designed by local architect Ishaq Abdulhadi al-Said and was built in 2014. The grand building has two floors and is about 33.14ft tall. Its façade is adorned with beautiful carvings and intricate calligraphic patterns made with Omani marble. The most striking feature is its main door, which is framed by two long arches and a semi-dome. The interior of the mosque is even more impressive, featuring a large, open prayer hall with stained glass windows and an ornate mihrab (a special sculpture in mosques indicating the direction of prayer). This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

Al Kamil West Mosque is located in Sohar, and the nearest international airport is Muscat International Airport, approximately 130km away. The most convenient way to reach the mosque from the airport is by bus. There are several bus companies that operate in this area, and the journey will take around 2 hours.
