is a landmark mosque located in the Al Jifnain District in Muscat, Oman. Completed in 2019, the mosque is a grand building with a capacity for up to 10,000 worshippers. It was constructed under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed bin Salim Al Balushi, the Sultan’s representative for culture, media and social development and the Project Manager of the mosque. The mosque was designed in the traditional Omani style, blending modern design elements with Islamic influences. It has a 140-metre diameter dome, as well as four minarets, each reaching a height of 100 metres. The dome is covered with 13,500 m2 of pure gold leaf, and each minaret is decorated with calligraphic inscriptions of verses from the Quran. The interior is elaborately decorated with traditional decorations and furniture, and there is a large courtyard where worshippers can congregate. The Al Jifnain South West North Mosque is located in Al Dakhiliyah, Oman. It was built in the 19th century and is considered to be a unique example of traditional Omani architecture. The mosque has a typical late-Ottoman plan, with three pointed arched portals, two large halls, a mihrab, minbar, and a sanctuary. The walls are made of traditional carved Omani stones. The main mihrab is decorated with stained glass and is composed of two superimposed pointed arches. The mosque also features two domes and three minarets in the corners. The interior of the mosque is decorated with calligraphic stuccoes and ceramic tiles. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
