Architecture:
The Al Kamil North Mosque in Oman is a beautiful and unique example of Islamic architecture. It is a large rectangular building, with a large open plaza in the center. The walls are made of dressed stone blocks and sloped inward to a center dome, which is upheld by large clustered piers. The interior is decorated with intricate arabesque patterns and Islamic calligraphy, as well as intricate hand-carved woodwork and rare mosaics. The minaret stands at the western corner of the complex and is constructed out of dressed stone with intricate stucco carvings. There are three main prayer halls, one for men and two for women, as well as general ablution area and space for private devotional activities. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
Visiting Hours:
The visit hours of Al Kamil Mosque in North Oman are: Sunday to Wednesday: 6:00am - 9:30pm Thursday to Saturday: 6:00am - 12:00pm The visit times may be subject to change during special occasions, public holidays and religious festivals. Visitors are requested to contact the mosque administration for further clarification. The dress code inside the mosque is conservative with attire covering from the neck to the wrists and ankles. All visitors must take off their shoes before entering. Photography and videography are not allowed inside the mosque area unless prior permission is obtained from the mosque administration. It is highly recommended that non-Muslims observe the respectful behavior and show respect to the worshippers and abide by the cultural norms while visiting the mosque. best mosque in the world.
