Brief History:
Al Ghubrah South North Mosque is situated in Al Ghubrah, Muscat, the capital of Oman. The mosque was established in 1982 and is dedicated to Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). The mosque stands out among many other traditional Islamic architectural structures in Muscat. It comprises of two rectilinear whitewashed minaret towers, two tall Hijab-covered halls and two large white-washed enclosures. The central minaret of the mosque stands proudly with a height of 50. 9 meters, making it the tallest minaret of the various mosques in Oman. The mosque is primarily open to Muslims for worship and regularly hold weekly congregational prayers on Fridays. The Al Ghubrah South North Mosque is a great example of Islamic architecture in Oman. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.

The Al Ghubrah South North Mosque in Oman is an impressive example of contemporary Islamic architecture. The mosque, designed by Ibrahim M. Al Yaqout, features a large central dome surrounded by four corner minarets. Inside, the prayer hall is decorated with intricate Islamic patterns and mosaics, and the walls and floors are covered in fine carpets and rugs. Outside, the mosque is notable for the two large pools of water, which are a prominent feature in many Islamic architectures. The courtyard surrounding the mosque also includes a mosque-like fountain, which was constructed in order to attract and represent passersby. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
