It is an important place of worship for both the Muslim and non-Muslim community. The building of the mosque was made possible by a generous donation from the Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said. The mosque has a total area of 7500 sq. feet and has capacity to accommodate over 2000 worshippers. The mosque is managed by the Authority for mosques and religious endowments and is open for all five daily prayers. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.

The Al Qurum West North South Mosque in Oman is an example of modern Islamic architecture. The exterior of the mosque was designed to resemble a traditional Islamic design, featuring several domes and minarets. Inside the mosque, several columns, arches, and domes are featured throughout the prayer hall, while intricate wooden latticing and stained-glass windows line the walls.
