Brief History:
Al Hazam West North Mosque is the largest mosque in the city of Salalah, located in the country of Oman. It has been in existence since the late 1890's and is a significant religious building for the city's residents and visitors. Built in the traditional style of Omani mosques but notably with features from other Islamic architecture, the mosque has been used by pilgrims visiting the city for many years. It is also a popular destination for tourists and other locals, due to its striking design. It is one of the most famous mosque in Oman which you must visit.
Architecture:
The Al Hazam West North Mosque is a contemporary mosque located in the northern part of Muscat, Oman. It was built in the early 2000s and follows a unique architectural design that combines traditional Islamic architecture with modern elements. The mosque features a large courtyard, minaret, prayer hall, a wet prayer room, several ablution rooms, and a library. It is decorated with Islamic artwork and geometry. The walls are decorated with intricately designed Quranic verses and geometric patterns, and the prayer hall is lit by ornately crafted lamps and windows. A large dome rests atop the prayer hall, with a golden finial crowning it. The mosque’s exterior features contemporary elements such as stainless steel roofs, large windows, and mosaics. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

Address: Al Hazam West North Mosque - Al Khuwair Rd, Al Hazam, Muscat, Oman Directions: From Muscat International Airport: Head southwest on Sultan Qaboos St/ Nizwa Rd towards Al Maabela Rd. Turn left onto Al Maabela Rd and continue onto Sultan Qaboos St. Turn right onto Al Khuwair Rd and the Al Hazam West North Mosque will be on the left. From Muscat City Centre: Head north on Qaboos St towards Ras Al Hamra Rd. Turn left onto Al Khuwair Rd and the Al Hazam West North Mosque will be on the right.
