This mosque stands as a testament to the deep religious values and beliefs of the people of Oman. The construction of the mosque was completed in 2011 and was funded by the Omani Government. It consists of a vast prayer hall with a capacity for up to five thousand people, a library, educational center and various other additional facilities. The exterior of the building features a traditional Omani architecture with the use of terracotta and ornately decorated columns and arches. Inside, the interior is decorated in traditional Islamic style with glossy ceramics, intricate geometric designs and bold color combinations. Architecture:

The Al Khuwair East Mosque in Oman is an example of modern Islamic architecture. Built in 2012, the mosque is situated within the Al Khuwair Quarter of Muscat and was designed by SPAN Architects & Design Consultants. The mosque comprises a central prayer hall surrounded by two minarets, a semi-circular façade with balustrades, a dome with four flutters, and a portico facing the Qaboos Grand Mosque to the west. The portico has white marble flooring, with the central courtyard paved with glazed ceramic tiles in light and dark beige. The main prayer hall is composed of five bays, each with two columns supporting a flat wooden ceiling. The columns are finished with stucco and adorned with traditional Islamic motifs. The ceiling is painted in shades of white, blue and gold, and contains lighting features for illumination. Above the ceiling, the dome is delicately adorned with masonry tracery and features white marble panels inscribed with verses from the Holy Quran. The visiting hours for Al Khuwair East Mosque in Oman are from 8:30am until 12:30pm and 4:00pm until 10:00pm during the weekdays (Sunday through Thursday).
