The worship method of Kyaikthanlan Pagoda in Myanmar is comprised of various religious activities as part of the Kyaikthanlan pilgrimage ritual. Pilgrims typically assemble at the pagoda’s grounds early in the morning and ritually circle the stupa (or pagoda) three times. This is accompanied by chanting prayers, and offering flowers, incense and candles at the pagoda. Pilgrims then move upwards in procession with the help of a staircase towards the pinnacle of the pagoda, where a large diamond-encrusted figure of Lord Buddha is present. Special prayers and offerings are presented to Lord Buddha, and pilgrims line up to pay their respects and devotions. After devotions, pilgrims remain in the pagoda to listen to sermons and explore the nature of Buddhist teachings.
