History:

Myazigon Pagoda, located in the town of Mingun near Mandalay, is a Buddhist pagoda built during the Konbaung Dynasty in Myanmar in 1816. It is said to have been commissioned by King Bodawpaya. The main image at the pagoda is Sakyamuni Buddha, and the stupa is topped with a bell-shaped dome, which is one of the largest in the country. The pagoda has a terraced rectangular platform surrounded by four smaller stupas, which appear to be of the same period as the main structure. The surrounding enclosure walls date back to the late 19th century. At the entrance of the pagoda, there are four standing images of large greenish bronze.
