St Luke’s Garrison Chapel is an historic Anglican chapel located in the historic St John’s Fort in the military city of Woolwich, London. It was built in 16th century as a garrison chapel for troops stationed in the nearby Royal Arsenal to pray and worship. Built by the Order of the Facing Stones, the chapel is the oldest surviving building of the former arsenal. The chapel is also widely believed to be the smallest Anglican church in London. History:

The chapel was established in 1535, by the Order of the Facing Stones, as a part of the Royal Artillery Garrison, an Anglican garrison that defended the Royal Arsenal at Woolwich. The original building was destroyed during the Great Fire of London and was replaced in 1686 by a larger structure by the Dutch immigrant Barlett de Groof. It has been modified a number of times since but still retains many of its original features, including the five sided floor plan, original windows and gallery. The chapel was designated a Grade II listed building in 1950 and is still used for regular services. The chapel is home to a number of artefacts and relics from its many centuries of history.
