The Chapel of the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady is a Roman Catholic chapel located in the Vatican City, inside St. Peter's Basilica. It is dedicated to the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary and is used mainly to commemorate the solemnity of the same name.

History:
The Chapel of Immaculate Conception of Our Lady was designed by the gifted artist and architect Carlo Maderno. He was commissioned to construct it by Pope Paul V, at the beginning of the 17th century as a token of gratitude for the Immaculate Conception itself. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Malta.
