The stewart Mountain Seventh Day Adventist church began in 1974. The original nine members were lead by two pastors, Pastor Dean Casto, and Pastor Carl Fletter. They served the small group of members for a few years before later being replaced by Pastor Joe Rarick, who served the church until his retirement in 2010. Today, the church is led by Pastor Fred Stephens, and continues to focus on service and spiritual growth.
