Nazareth Moravian Church is a historic African-American Moravian church located in the hamlet of Nazareth, North Carolina. It was built in 1871 by freed slaves and members of the Moravian Church who settled the area. The church remains a loyal part of the Yadkin Valley Moravian Church.

Nazareth Moravian Church was founded by freed slaves in 1871 in the hamlet of Nazareth, North Carolina. The African-American Moravians who settled the area had traveled here from Forsyth and Stokes counties. The church was originally known as the African Mission Church, which was established by the Lewinville Moravian Church in 1870. In 1871, the African Mission Church was renamed the Nazareth Church. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Jamaica.

The church is made of German brick and has two stories. The upper floor is divided into two sections, the west half is used as a Sunday school, and the east half is used for worship services and as living quarters. The lower floor is divided into sections for the men and women’s Sunday school. The church is heated by two wood stoves and lit with coal oil lamps.

The church holds regular worship services every Sunday at 11:30 a.m. The church also offers Bible study classes on Wednesdays. There are also occasional concerts, special events, and classes.This beautiful church in Jamaica has made a lot of significance in the past.
