Masjid-e Vazir is one of the oldest and most notable mosques in Tehran, Iran. It was constructed in the 19th century during the Qajar Dynasty. The mosque was designed by the famous Iranian architect Ustad Ali Maryam in the traditional architectural style of the Qajar period. The building follows the traditional Iranian mosque architecture, consisting of a tall four-iwan court surrounded by an outer courtyard, on the sides of which there is a minaret. The main prayer hall is decorated with stunning stucco carving and fine calligraphic inscriptions. The mosque’s iwan (portal) is framed with a marble stone mihrab, while the rest of the wall features classic, glazed ceramic tiles. The interior is adorned with intricate tiles, stucco decorations, and stained glass windows. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
