Jameh Mosque of Malayer is one of Iran’s historic and valuable monuments dating back to the Safavid dynasty (1502-1736). The mosque is a two-story building decorated with various patterns and motifs, showing a Seljuq style characterized by symmetry and geometry. The Jameh Mosque of Malayer is one of the oldest mosques in Iran. It was constructed in the 10th century during the Buyid dynasty on the site of an older mosque and has undergone several renovations throughout its history. The current structure is a single-aisled mosque in the four iwan style, with a rectangular courtyard surrounded by four iwans on the north, east, south and west. The dome chamber houses the prayer hall, which includes an elevated alcove. The courtyard has two additional prayer halls and the minaret rises on the southwest corner.
