This surviving example of 10th century Islamic architecture is believed to have been built in the 10th or 11th century and is one of the oldest surviving mosques in the Islamic World. The mosque is believed to have been founded as part of an ancient village called Royan, which is now part of the modern city of Zahedan. The mosque features a unique style of architecture that combines elements of several different styles, including Persian, Arab and Central Asian influences. Its unique combination of architectural details makes it a important example of Islamic architecture in Iran. In addition, the mosque is important for its association with the Afghan invasion of Iran in the 16th century. During the invasion, the mosque is said to have served as a refuge and a rallying point for local people who rose up in defense of their homeland. Today, the mosque is listed as one of the historical and religious sites in Zahedan and remains open to visitors. It is one of the most famous mosque in Iran which you must visit.
