Overview:
thinarayana Temple is an ancient temple located on the banks of Tungabhadra river in Karnataka, India. It is believed to be the birthplace of Sri Murthinarayana, one of the trinity of God in Hinduism. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, who is known as Lakshmi Narasimha. The temple also features three thousand year old sculptures of Lord Nandi, the bull that stands in front of Lord Shiva, and other gods and goddesses from the Hindu pantheon. History:
The most prominent feature of the Trimurthinarayana Temple is the five-headed idol of Lord Vishnu, in keeping with the Hindu concept of Trimurthi, Lord Vishnu, Brahma and Shiva combined in one form.
