of Bakhtiar Khan: Tomb of Bakhtiar Khan is a mausoleum located in Lahore, Pakistan. It was built by Nadir Shah Durrani of Afghan during his invasion of India in 1756. The mausoleum is a tribute to Bakhtiar Khan, the general of Nadir Shah who died during the Battle of Kup in 1758. The tomb was built on the same spot where Bakhtiar Khan was buried. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The Tomb of Bakhtiar Khan has a square plan with a pointed dome. It is built of brick and plastered in lime-mortar in an Indo-Afghan style. The facade of the mausoleum is ornamented with exquisite geometric patterns with circular medallions in each of the four sides.
