The largest stone cairn, known as “Kaban-Amur” is around 105 meters in diameter and made up of two rings of stones each around 7 – 8 meters high. While the others are much smaller, they all feature stones of various sizes. Some of these stones are believed to be over 5 meters high. History The megalithic cists and cairns of Amur are thought to have been constructed between the 5th and 3rd centuries BC. They are believed to have been part of a complex burial system developed by the Amur culture.
