The Tomb of Bahlol Lodi was built in 1517 CE, during the Lodi Dynasty of the Delhi Sultanate in India. The tomb is located in the city of Delhi and is one of the best-preserved monuments of the Lodi Era. It is sometimes referred to as the Daata Sahib ki Tomb, as the person buried inside was a spiritual figure known as Data Ganj Baksh. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The exterior of the tomb features a four-tiered tower that stands over 12 meters high in the center. The thick walls of the monument are adorned with intricate stone carvings that depict scenes from Islamic mythology. Another prominent feature of the mausoleum is the network of inscribed squares that make up the decorations on the walls and ceilings.
