Overview:
Suryanarayana Temple is one of the oldest and most important temples devoted to Lord Suryanarayana, located in the town of Arasavalli, near Srikakulam, in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Built in the 6th century AD, the temple has stood the test of time and continues to draw scores of devotees from across India every year. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The main shrine of the Suryanarayana Temple is dedicated to Lord Suryanarayana, the Sun God. Other shrines inside the temple complex are dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, Lord Brahma and Goddess Lakshmi.
