Overview:
Radha Shyam Temple is a 500-year-old Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu, located in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India. It overlooks the River Godavari from the top of a hill amidst the village of Radha Shyam. The temple is named after Radha, the consort of Lord Krishna, and is one of the holiest sites for the devotees of Lord Vishnu in India. History:
The temple stands on a huge red-hued mandapam and comprises of three large mandapams idols, namely that of Lord Vishnu, Lord Lakshmi, and Lord Shiva. The main temple of Lord Vishnu is considered to be the most ancient of the three, with an exquisite image of the Lord in his reclining form. The temple also houses a beautiful set of sculptures including Lord Narasimha, Goddess Lakshmi, and other deities. The main sanctum of the temple is sealed to prevent human entry.
