The Sri Kanthirava Statue in Narasimha Temple stands at about 10 feet tall and is believed to be about 1000 years old. It is the only surviving example of Chola Dynasty sculptures. The idol is made of a five-metal amalgam, known as 'Panchaloha'. It is adorned with gold and diamond jewellery. The murti also has a crown decorated with 108 Rudraksha beads.
