Overview:
Hatimura Temple is a prominent Shingon temple located in Matsuzaki, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It is one of the first temples established by Kobo Daishi, also known as Kukai, and is the founding temple of the Shingon Koyasan line. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
Hatimura Temple is famous for its majestic Main Hall and Mudra (Hand Gesture) Hall, both of which are made with intricate details. The temple also houses many statues related to its history, including a statute of Kobo Daishi himself. In addition to that, the temple also features a room dedicated to the Shoden, or the Secret Doctrine, as well as a garden featuring beautiful landscaping.
