Kenduguri Ruins In India: History,Facts, & Services
Overview:
Kenduguri Ruins is an ancient archaeological site located in Zamboanga del Norte, Philippines. Set near a series of limestone caves and hills, the ruins are believed to date back to the 11th century and were built by the Subanon people to honor their leader, Datu Dawan. Remnants of pottery, tools, stone walls, and other artifacts indicate a civilization prosperous in agriculture and farming. Kenduguri Ruins This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The ruins of Kenduguri include the main wall which is composed of massive chunks of limestone, pottery scattered around the area, stone tools and artifacts, and an open-air museum that contains artifacts from the site. The wall is about 40 m long, 10 m tall and is capped with an upper terrace made of wood and mortar. The designs on the wall display intricate and unique designs unique to the Subanon people.
