The mosque has a square shape and is square in plan, and is entered through a single entrance in the south. The main prayer hall is lined with twelve pillars and has two big domes on the western half and two small domes on the eastern half of the building. There are also two smaller domes on the north-eastern half of the building. The interior of the mosque is lit up by two low skylights on the northern wall. The mosque is decorated with intricate paintings and arabic inscriptions, and has a beautiful marble flooring. The mosque also has two minarets on the east and west sides of it. The minarets are decorated with several adornments and look beautiful against the backdrop of the scenic Nizamabad skyline. The mosque is a popular tourist destination in Nizamabad and is visited by locals as well as tourists from far and wide. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.

The mosque is situated near the banks of the River Godavari and is surrounded by a stone-walled compound. It is a beautiful example of Islamic art and architecture. The mosque has four minarets and four entrances. The central double-arched gate is decorated with ornate mouldings.
